This is the new model. Projity announced OpenProj with the same model and has over 100,000 users in a month. They also have Project-ON-Demand which is $19/month and hosted. OpenProj is a complete replacement of Microsoft Project. I have been using it and opened all my existing Project files. It basically has made Project which costs $1,000 a commodity. This new model will have a big impact on Salesforce.com, Microsoft and others that either don't get it or can't get it !!! SugarCRM and Projity will be heard loud and clear !!!!!
