Hi 3wP,
Just to clarify, by JJ are you referring to JoomlaJunkie or JoomlaJet? Both names have the same initial ;0)
Cheers,
Chris

Well - always nice with reviews - no mather where they come from. It's always nice to sum up several reviews in orde to decide for what club to use - so thanx for your "digg into this" and reviews.

The 1 part i agree the most on - is the price that JJ has. IT IS RIDICILOUS. I hope they will have nothing but bad days in terms of new members - cause they really dont deserve a single 1 more - and will for shure not ever get me. Totaly unreal prices.....

Just wanted to go on record that the only template service I've ever paid for was JoomlaJunkie, and I'm pretty happy.

As a small business guy I can appreciate the challenges of putting food on the table, running a company, constantly updating a website and producing a product to earn income from - and of course take care of paying customers.

Chris, thanks for a great service and looking forward to the new site.

Hi Jason,
First off may i say thanks for revising your post. The new post definitely has constructive criticism, which i always welcome and will address some of the points you mentioned below.

I understand that this is a personal weblog, but it is still associated with your Joomla! / Open Source services company, Daynger and since its a company that is apart of the Joomla! Community, i guess a bit of tact would have been a bit more appropriate.

That being said, I don't have any hard feelings about the post - as they say there is no such thing as bad publicity ;0)

Regarding your comments about our site.. I agree that the current site is far from perfect. When we first started JoomlaJunkie we were traveling around South America and at the time were still unsure whether there was any potential for yet another template provider.

Shortly after the site went live, we came back to South Africa and setup shop, hired staff and in order to sustain all the new expenses, had to take on loads of custom projects - which in turn took a lot of our focus away from taking JoomlaJunkie to the next level.

Over the past few months we have spent countless days and nights looking at the business and working on an action plan on our templating process, services we will be offering in the new year and of course the site. We are very close to the new site being ready and are hoping that the fruits of our labor will be well received.

As for virtuemart, there is actually a simple explanation for the crappy default images, layout bugs and thus. On friday night our Components directory mysteriously vanished. Literally, one minute it was there, next minute it was gone. Hmmm, very odd indeed. To add fuel to the fire, our old host did not have any backups whatsoever? No backups? Arghhhh! I spent most of saturday reviving what i could, but with our new site being so close to competition, we decided our time would be better spent going into that.

Anywho, I will drop you a mail once the new site is live and you can re-evaluate ;0)

Have a super day!
